Post the initial draft of your paper by Friday Nov 12, 11:59 p.m.  The draft will be left open next week for comments from fellow students and my feedback. You will have until Friday, Nov. 19 to submit a rewrite, if you choose. Your draft should be at least 1600 words. You should include citations for your facts. Also post a copy of your draft to the dropbox for your draft by Friday the 12th by 11:59 p.m. This draft will be sent to turnitin. com to be checked for originality. It will not receive a grade in the dropbox. Your grade will be given on the draft discussion.

Your research paper should be about 90% your own words. Obviously your works cited will show up as non- original. There will be no penalty for non-originality or plagiarism at the draft stage, if it is remedied in a re-write. This is your opportunity to make sure your paper is your own work and does not plagiarize the work of others.

Plagiarism in the final submission of your research paper will result in a zero for the assignment.

The Draft is worth 185 points. Your helpful response to a fellow student’s draft will be worth 15 points.
