Instruction:
You will discuss these two texts in conjunction with one another, analyzing how they each address one aspect of creation. You are not expected to do much outside research; the focus should be the texts. That being said, you may also need to understand more about each interpreter?s biography or social location to analyze why s/he interprets creation in this way through additional outside research.

Questions to consider: How is the interpreter addressing this topic? How is s/he using the biblical creation story to support this argument? What other sources is s/he using? How does this topic fit into this interpreter?s larger understanding of creation? Why is s/he arguing this? To whom/what might s/he be responding?

Note: You should plan on analyzing each writing in detail, not simply restating what each interpreter says. You need a clear thesis sentence that ties together your paper.
