Impact of the Age of Exploration Presentation

Now that we have examined the major changes that occurred before, during and after the Age of Exploration, you will conduct research on one country to investigate and analyze their global impact. Your task is to:

 

1. Create a presentation that explains how that nation changed or contributed to trade, migration, and political power in their region and throughout the world.

Use the following question to help guide your research:  What global impact did one particular nation have during the Age of Exploration?  How did they change or contribute to trade, migration, and political power in their region and throughout the world.

Instructions:

A. Choose ONE of the following countries to research: 

· Portugal

· Spain

· Denmark

· England

Then, conduct research about your country and their explorations. You will want to take notes about the following topics:

1. Events that lead to the country’s decision to begin exploration.  

2. Any inventions, technologies or ideas that the country paid for or used to their benefit. 

3. Explorers and explorations that the country financed.

4. Colonies the country settled. 

5. Overall impact of their explorations.
