INTRODUCTION: This section introduces the main topic of the article. You will utilize non-academic, yet
highly credible information in this section. Examples might include the Pew Research Center, Gallup Poll,
Data.Gov, Fed Stats, U.S. Census Bureau, National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), Bureau of Justice
Statistics (BJS), Statista, etc. Determining the acceptability of sources used in this section will be discussed in
class. You should use a minimum of six sources in your introduction and are not to overlap with the sources in
your literature review. Sources used in this section should be a current as possible and preferably no more than
five years old. At the end of your introduction, you will gently pose your research questions (see above).
