First read the California Law Review article. Then write a paper in which you discuss:
1) whether you agree with Mazzone and Rushin about the need for a law to reform policing in the U.S.
2) Also, analyze the ideas of the writers regarding the use of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 as a blueprint for creating a reform of policing in the U.S. and outline how the authors suggest such a law would work.
3) Finally, discuss whether you would change anything in their proposed law and why. If you would not change anything, discuss why you believe their plan does not need any changes.
The paper must be a minimum of 5-6 pages long, in 12-point font, with one-inch margin and double-spaced. You may use either APA or MLA format. Please include a references cited page (even if you only use the article provided) as I am certain that you will need to refer to the article. So make sure to cite it throughout the paper wherever you use information from the article.
