Dear Kristen:
We are pleased to confirm our offer of employment as Customer Service Advocate, Dental with Cigna Health & Life Ins. Co. (the “Company”). This offer is contingent upon proof of your right to work lawfully in the U.S., among other requirements. We use set role titles and bands within our Global Career Architecture to define our roles. Your Cigna Career Architecture role title will be Customer Service Representative, Career Band 1. You will be based in Mississippi Work at Home and will report to Kat Gates. Compensation opportunity for this role:You will be paid bi-weekly at a pre-tax hourly rate of $18.03.
As an overtime eligible employee, you will be paid for all hours worked in compliance with all applicable Federal, state and local labor laws.
You will be eligible for consideration for a merit increase during the next annual Compensation Review Process. Merit increases may be based on an assessment of your performance, overall business results, relevant market reference data, and other factors.
The Cigna market range for this position is $14.33 – $21.54.
You will be eligible for consideration for a bonus award based on your individual contribution and business results. You should speak to your manager for further details regarding bonus awards. Please note that bonuses are not guaranteed.
You will be eligible for 18 days (or 144 hours) of Paid Time Off (PTO) in a full calendar year. PTO is pro-rated in your first year of employment based upon your date of hire. In addition, you will be eligible for eight paid company holidays.
You will be eligible for health and welfare and retirement benefits under the applicable plans sponsored by Cigna. Certain worklife benefit programs will also be available to you.
Please note that Cigna reserves the right to modify compensation, and to change, modify or discontinue any plan or policy at its discretion in accordance with applicable law.
Background Check and Drug TestYou will receive an e-mail notification from Cigna's Pre-Employment Background Verification partner, which will include instructions for completing Cigna's online background verification and consent process. By consenting to the background verification process, you are indicating your official acceptance of our offer for employment. Please make every effort to accurately provide all of the requested information within 24 hours of receipt of the e-mail request. A fast and accurate verification process will enable you to begin employment as scheduled.
You will also receive instructions for completing a drug test, including nicotine where permitted by law. Please make every effort to complete the drug test within the designated timeframe. If you fail to appear for testing within two business days, this offer may be rescinded.
Where permitted by law, a positive drug test will result in the immediate rescission of this job offer and you will not be eligible for employment with any Cigna company for the following 12 months. Similarly, where permitted by law, a positive nicotine test will result in immediate rescission of this job offer and you will not be eligible to apply for employment with any Cigna company for the following 6 months.

Conditions of Employment
Cigna has an alternative dispute resolution program that provides for an internal grievance process and arbitration in case of employment disputes. This program applies to non-union employees as well as the Company. Your execution of the arbitration agreement is a condition of employment, but you may subsequently opt-out using the procedures set forth in the agreement. Please note that the arbitration agreement includes a class action waiver. This means that an employee who is bound by the agreement is not permitted to bring or participate in any class, collective or representative action against the Company or Cigna. If such an employee brings an action against the Company or Cigna, the employee may only bring such action on behalf of himself or herself through arbitration.
Your agreement to the terms of the accompanying Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement is also a condition of your employment. Please review it carefully before accepting.
Because you will be working from home, you will also be required to meet all Work at Home eligibility requirements as a condition of your employment.
Finally, please note that by accepting employment with the Company, you represent and warrant that your acceptance of employment with, and/or the performance of duties for, the Company, will not breach any non-compete or other agreement that you have with any other employer or party. You also represent and warrant that you will not bring with you to Cigna, or use in performance of work for Cigna, any confidential information belonging to any prior non-Cigna employer, unless you first receive written permission to use and disclose such information from your prior non-Cigna employer.
It is important to understand that this offer is not a contract of employment. Cigna employees are employees-at-will. This means that you can resign your employment at any time and for any reason. It also means that Cigna can alter the terms and conditions of your employment or terminate your employment at any time and for any reason, with or without cause.
