Prior to designing and implementing a recidivism reduction program(s) staff have to be trained and developed in order for any program to be successful. The students assignment this week is to investigate and report on the qualities and skill sets needed from the leader down the organization to effectively implement a correctional intervention program. In addition to the textbook readings, necessary leadership qualities can be found in various reports prepared by the National Institute of Corrections (NCIC.gov).
