In groups of 4, you will write a term paper relating how crime and delinquency is portrayed in the media.  You will pick one crime drama that is currently on television, or has a season available to rent.  You will have to watch a minimum of 2 hours each of that show and critically examine how crime, criminals, and the criminal justice system are depicted in the show.  You must relate sociology theory and concepts. Specific details provided in the prompt.

The paper will be 8-10 pages in length, double spaced, size 12 font, Arial or Times New Roman.  Proper spelling and grammar is expected, and will affect your grade. Proof reading your work is strongly encouraged.

Projects are due Week 14.  Late papers will NOT be accepted.  Plagiarism is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.  If you are not sure what constitutes plagiarism please contact me ASAP, or visit the writing center.  Violating plagiarism policies will result in a failing grade for the assignment.  Term paper is worth 50 points.

There will also be a visual presentation due week 14.  These will be uploaded as google slides, or PowerPoint presentations to a discussion board.  Your group presentation will be worth 25 points, and your feedback on your classmate’s projects will be 10 points (total project is worth 85 points).
