Reflect on examples from your experience, readings, research, etc. that exemplify how disabilities in the workforce can create challenges for employers and what actions might be taken to minimize them.
Next, conduct an online search for statistical data, information, and trends regarding disability and long-term care (you may also use the U.S. Census Bureau).
Examine your findings and identify emerging trends. Determine, what impact those trends might have on long-term care in general and in your state? You may use Figure 17.1 on page 298 as a guide. Alternatively, you may research disability by age (Use Figure 17.2 as a guide).
