Drawing on concepts and examples from Block 3, discuss the role of creative texts and practices in political discourse.

Question:
Drawing on concepts and examples from Block 3, discuss the role of creative texts and practices in political discourse.

Guidance notes:
For this TMA, you will need to draw upon texts and practices that you have encountered in Block 3 of E302, using these to support and illustrate your argument(s). If you wish, these may be supplemented by relevant material from elsewhere in the module or beyond it.

There is potentially a very large amount of material from Block 3 that could be relevant for this question, including the concepts of process, purpose and product. For example, Unit 16 explores how linguistic activity provides a resource for political activity. Unit 17 introduces the debate over the persuasive aspects of creative political activity and social change. In Unit 20, the issues of creativity and agency are examined in the context of globalisation and in Unit 21 the relationship between creativity, the power of the state and the regulation of creative products is examined. This list is not exhaustive, so you will need to be selective and decide which resources can help you to answer the question most effectively.
